High risk areas
Abstract
The author analyses actions in the state of extreme necessity which have to be performed by the ships’ crew members when ships enter the areas of heavy sea whirls, deep-sea troughs or sea “hunches” rising above the water surface, strong vertical formations similar to an atmospheric cyclone which are capable of sinking not only the ship, but also the crew.
