Some Problems of Realization of Criminal-Law Norms Regulating Relief from Criminal Responsibility and Punishment

Abstract

The article deals with the criminal-law grounds for relief of persons who committed a crime from criminal responsibility and serving punishment, their application in pretrial and trial stages of criminal proceedings. The author analyzes shortcomings of the current legislation regulating termination of prosecution and rendering judgement of guilt with assignment of punishment and relief from serving it, judgement of guilt without assignment of punishment. The ways to improve criminal and criminal procedural legislation are offered.
