State Emblem as a legal phenomenon and historical prerequisites of its appearance
Abstract
In the modern world the State Emblem, equally with the National Flag and National Anthem, is a generally accepted element of state symbolism. Moreover, the State Emblem is the most traditional state symbol that obtained legalization and juridical justification in rather early times. Appearance of the State Emblem as a special legal object at the earliest stages of the formation of European national states is connected prima facie with European heraldic tradition that naturally anticipated the nucleation of the State Emblem idea.
