Application of Firearms as a Means of Defense against Piracy
Abstract
The article considers some aspects of the application of fi rearms and the criteria of lawfulness of doing so in cases of piratical attacks. Special attention is paid to evaluation of possibility and appropriateness of arming the crew with firearms and the application of force and firearms in the high seas to stop the vessel.
