Institutional investor as subject of investment activity
Abstract
While examining investment process there is need in detailed analysis of investment legal relation as a whole and its components such as subject, object and content. The article is devoted to one of the subjects of investment activity, it also makes an attempt to single out and consider investors who carry out their activity out of means of other natural persons and legal entities for the purposes of the owner of means who are traditionally called institutional investors. Legal status of such institutional investors as banks, management companies of investment funds, joint-stock investment funds, non-governmental pension funds, trust management and insurance companies are considered in details. The author of the article makes an attempt to consider the subjects in question from the point of view of realization of the activity in the sphere of investing on the part of the latter. The article cites the opinions of various specialists in this sphere, the positions of a law-maker and a practitioner.
