Abstract

The article examines different approaches to ban on the misuse of insider information, as well as the expediency to impose such a ban. The author evaluates arguments “pro” and “contra” elaborated by different scientists. The author analyses legal and economic consequences of the misuse of insider information, as well as the objectives of the ban on this unfair market practice.
