To the issue of characteristics of gambling
Abstract
This article discusses the characteristics of gambling which enable to refer them to the field of civil law regulation. The author substantiates the aleatory nature of gambling manifests itself in the uncertainty of the result of the game caused by the exposure to the element of chance. The author argues the risky nature of the game caused by the choice of behavior and decision-making regulation based on the availability of two alternatives - the possible loss and a probability of winning. It is concluded that the term «gambling» is a generic name for games outcome of which is more or less dependent on a chance.
