Abstract

This paper examines the specific features of crime and punishment institutes in the customary ethnic law of the Komi (the Zyryan). The concepts of crime and punishment have been examined in terms of their understanding in the customary ethnic law of the Zyryan. Particular attention is paid to the customary legal peculiarities of such legal institutes as crime and punishment, types of crime, as well as to the types and methods of implementation of the punishment in the Zyryan society.
